Can we bill for a surgery assist if a physician assistant helps our physician with a MOHS if so, can the PA do the closure and bill for the closure?

Under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, Mohs procedures do not allow for an assistant, so you will not be able to get payment for the PA from Medicare for this. Most other payers follow the Medicare guidelines for assistants but you'd need to check with your individual payers to see if there are exceptions. If the closure is performed by the PA and is within their scope of practice, and he or she dictates an operative note, then they can bill for that service.

Can you tell me where I can find this information on the MEDICARE website, please?

Here's the link to the physician fee schedule page. If you go to the 'PFS Relative Value Files' link at the left, you can select the tables for any particular year, and the accompanying document that gives you the key to the meaning of the different indicators for each code. Or maybe a little more easily, you can get the same information through the 'physician fee schedule lookup tool' link, which includes a manual on how to use the tool.
