Can you tell me the difference between billing 99203 to 99215 with Medicare and commercial payers when a telemedicine visit performed via synchronous audio and visual technology? The provider shows their location as well as the patient and visit is 50% time spent in counseling and coordination of care?
Also, can the provider bill for labs done on the same day as the Telehealth visit was done? thank you

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you asking the difference between 99203 vs 99215? If so:
99203 is NEW pt with detailed hx, detailed exam and low MDM OR face to face time 30 min if > 50% counseling/coord of care
99215 is ESTAB pt with 2 of 3 comprehensive hx, comprehensive exam and/or high MDM OR face to face time 40 min if > 50% counseling/coord of care

Regarding labs, I have heard that they may be billed same day, but do not have a precise reference.
