DX: Anogenital wart

Procedure performed: Anoscopic cauterization of the anorectal wart

Intraoperative findings reveal a perianal wart at 5 o'clock position. Endoscopic examination revealed again acetowhite area In the anus circumferentially. Multiple areas were noted. Using cautery, these areas were cauterized. the perianal wart at 5 o'clock position excised.

I am struggling on this case. I am not sure that I should assign 17110 (perianal wart) or 46910 ( since the surgeon mentioned using endoscopic).

Thanks for the advice.

46910 Destruction of lesion(s), anus (eg, condyloma, papilloma, molluscum contagiosum, herpetic vesicle), simple; electrodesiccation

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINE: For destruction of lesion(s) in specific anatomic sites, see 40820, 46900-46917, 46924, 54050-54057, 54065, 56501, 56515, 57061, 57065, 67850, 68135)

17110- Destruction (eg, laser surgery, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, chemosurgery, surgical curettement), of benign lesions other than skin tags or cutaneous vascular proliferative lesions; up to 14 lesions
Lay Description (Code): The physician uses a laser, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, chemical treatment, or surgical curettement to obliterate or vaporize benign lesions other than skin tags or lesions such as cutaneous vascular proliferative lesions. Examples of lesions that may be removed under this code description include, but are not limited to, molluscum contagiosum or melanocytic nevi. Report 17110 when one to 14 lesions are removed and 17111 when 15 or more lesions are removed

Your situation is definitely not 17110.

I appreciated your advice. Because the surgeon had mentioned used endoscopic, so I am not sure that if 46910 is correctly to apply to this case.
