Hello,
has anyone ever started working in a hospital setting like billing or records while they were taking the online courses thru aapc? I am really struggling financially after being furloughed in May. Now I am taking CPC courses but trying to find some experience and income. Thanks for any advice!
 
Hi,
I currently work in Hospital Billing and worked on my online courses through AAPC. I personally would recommend trying to get a job working in a hospital setting if you can. I know a lot of hospitals like to hire internally, which could be helpful once you get your certification. Best of luck!
 
Very good advice. Also when you apply for a position make sure you let them know that you are working towards your CPC. That should increase your chances of getting a position because they know that you are not just "looking for anything you can" and know that you are likely to stick around.
