Any advise on billing internal fetal monitoring (IUPC)
Can code 59050 be billed on same date of delivery?

Can IUPC 59050, be billed with 59200 (induction of labor)
59050 be billed with 59070 (Transabdominal amnioinfusion, including ultrasound guidance)
Can all three codes 59050,59200 and 59070 be billed together
What place of service must be codes for 59050, ER(23) or Out patient hospital(22) or 21(in patient hospital)

I appreciate help and feedback!

So many OB coding and billing questions are payer/region specific. You will need to refer to each payer's guidelines to avoid unbundling services included in delivery package. Your place of service question is difficult to answer without more details. The majority of the time, where the service is performed determines the POS that is billed and not contingent on the actual procedure performed (there are some caveats to that, refer to your E&M guidelines for patients seen in ER and admitted as well as CC services). You will need to refer to the registration details of a patient's chart to verify what authorization was obtained i.e OBS, inpatient etc. via the orders from the provider. Global Days indicating a major procedure doesn't necessarily mean the procedure resulted in an inpatient stay.
Also you will need to specify if you're submitting charges for facility or provider for future questions as this might also influence the advice provided.

Good luck.

59050 can only be billed by a consulting physician, not the physician who is delivering or a member of his/her practice as fetal monitoring no matter how performed would be included in expected global care. Induction of labor is always included when performed on the date of delivery. I am also not sure why you would do an amnioinfusion and then try and start labor on the same date of service so lots more information is required. As to the place of service, where was the patient when all this occurred - that is what you use.
