We are looking into switching software systems and need major help! Our practice is a visiting in home primary care and mental health. We previously switched from Athena (which we absolutely loved) to Kareo d/t inability to do in house billing. The EMR system Kareo has been an absolute nightmare since day one for our practice and does not work at all for our practice with zero capabilities to complete daily office task, tracking, and ordering. So we are trying to find a system that would work for special type of pratice along with in house billing. Our practice is small, we only have three primary care providers and two office staff. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated!

** If anyone uses Kareo currently.. I would to pick apart your brain on how you operate daily with the system and how your workflow is.

Hi Mtincher,
I used Dr Chronos EHR system when lived in San Jose, California. I worked at Urgent Care Center who used it. It was cost effective and had some great processes plus cost per amount of providers. The great processes were use email billing, did transmission of claims, sent texts to remind patient owe balance after insurance paid, and faxing med records at touch of click, and used the patient credit card for automatic billing. A temp plate was used to aid the providers the medical note was reviewed by medical director. Tracking or reporting was easy to do also per provider, date or payer totals.
I hope this helps you
