so should I code I25.2 if there is a history of myocardial infarction?

There doesn't seem to be a personal history Z code for this. Wonder why. I guess because of the importance of any kind of MI?

Yes, a personal history of MI is coded as I25.2 - 'Old myocardial infarction'. I'm not sure why this is, but per the ICD-10 guidelines for coding MIs, I.C.9.e, this code includes "old or healed myocardial infarctions not requiring further care."
