As it shows in the ICD-10-CM index, you need 2 ICD-10-CM codes when coding for Alzheimer's Disease.

1) You'd use the appropriate code for Alzheimer's Disease. The code will be in the G30.- section. The last digit depends on whether the Alzheimer's is documented as early-onset, late-onset, unspecified/NOS, or another specified form NEC.

2) You'd also code from F02.8- depending on whether the documentation shows behavioral disturbance. (F02.80 dementia with behavioral disturbance or F02.81 dementia with behavioral disturbance.)
