Hi
I need some guidance in coding for excision of an abdominal seroma which has developed from a c-section scar. I am not sure how to code this and if it needs a modifier because the c-sect was on 9/13/24.
What I have come up with is cpt code 22900 and icd10 L76.34.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Janet :)
Check out these DX codes 090.2, S36.33S & L76.34 or T81.33S & 090.0 & L76.34. Mind you may want the date this occurred on claim. So it determines if recent birthing or years ago. I hope helped you
