If a provider works from home due to health reasons while the patient is in the office and the visit is conducted via telehealth, should the place of service (POS) be recorded as the office or telehealth?

Thank you very much. What you’re explaining makes perfect sense to me, as the service is being conducted via video and audio while the patient is outside their home, even if they are physically present in our office.

I have been tried in many insurance with the New Televst Code for the new patient as well as Established patients, but Aetna, Molina, Emblem, etc all are denied the new Televst code, so can you please guide me, shall I continue with the old one or can wait for the new update like Place of sevice or Modifier.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated to help me understand this better

Thank you!

Hi there, you need to check with each payer to determine whether they're covering the new codes.

Thanks for replying friend..!!

Yes, you are right. There are some payers who still did not accept the new televst codes (Medicare and Medicare HMO). We have to wait for the new update.

Thanks again..
