For obesity counseling the G0447 code. Do I need to place a modifier on that? WouId I use the 59 modifier or would leave it alone and put no modifier?. Thank you.

If you are billing G0447 in addition to an office visit or AWE, then you would need a modifier 25 on the E/M. If you are billing G0447 with E/M as well as other assessments, screenings, procedures, etc., then yes, you would need either modifier 59 or XU on G0447.
