What code are you reporting for MRI prostate fusion biopsy? I know that there is no specific code for this procedure. I have been reporting 55700. I was recently told to report 55899 instead. However, Medicare does not pay us on unspecified codes ending in 99. Just curious as to what others are...

mri brain with fusion

I am fairly new with radiology coding, and our doctor did an MRI brain wwo contrast with fusion, we billed 70553 for the MRI, and 76498 (unlisted) for the fusion portion of it. It keeps getting denied stating the code billed does not support medical documentation. Has anybody gotten paid for MRI...
