Hello, Is it possible for a provider to perform 0315U and an outside lab perform 88305? Diagnosis is C44.42 for both.
 
What service is the provider performing? Does the provider have an onsite lab?

O315U -

These services are performed by a single "sole source" laboratory or for laboratory services that are cleared or approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and licensed and/or marketed to multiple providing laboratories. These services are often referred to as Proprietary Laboratory Analyses or PLA services. Correct code selection is dependent upon the service being provided and the manufacturer of the equipment.
