According to the CPT book the 11100-11101 hold NO "global period". If a patient comes back in 8ish days to have the sutures removed and discuss the diagnosis. Does that mean the doctor can charge a visit. Or would it be still be a followup no charge visit? Thank you.

Our clinic chooses not to because the cost of the procedure has the suture/follow up included.

I think there is a bit of gray area there. If the physician actually performs an evaluation and management service for the patient and the documentation supports more than just suture removal, you can bill an E&M. But in my experience, patients get really irritated when they get billed for a suture removal and have to pay a $50 copay. :)
