Wiki 11901 unbundling during post op period

Hi Everyone! I have a procedure that was done with a 90 day global period. Our provider is providing Kenalog injections 11901 within that post op period and payer is bundling to the surgery. Is 58 modifier valid to use in this situation?
 
I would say it depends on the reason for the injections & reason for the surgery. If the reasons are different, then -79 is appropriate
-79 unrelated procedure or service during postop period
-58 is staged or related procedure or service during postop period. If it IS a related procedure, I would question if it is included in postop care. It could fall under treatment of the underlying condition which is not a part of typical postop, which excludes it from global. Then -58 would be appropriate.
