Hello, could someone help me with this?
I work for an urgent care facility, and one patient whose chart I was looking at came in with a second degree burn to his left wrist, up to the midpoint of his forearm (it was NOT the whole extremity).
The burn was cleaned with normal saline, and petroleum gauze and coband were placed to the area, for which I coded 16020 (dressing AND/OR debridement of a second degree burn, less than 5%). The next chart I did for him was a follow-up, during which the burn was covered with petroleum gauze and a clean bandage. Should I mark down 16020 again, for the dressing?
