The 98 single system musculoskeletal exam guidelines state documentation of the bone, joints , muscles from 4 of 6 areas such as RUE, LUE, spine etc need to be examined.
Can anyone tell me if to qualify to use the single system 98 musculoskeletal guidelines a minimum 4 areas have to be examined?
For instance if only 3 areas are examined - RUE, LUE and spine are documented would you than have to use the 98 general multi system or 95 guidelines? Or would it still qualify with only the 3 areas to use the 98 musculoskeletal guidelines?
