Wiki 2 providers consults same day

Hi!

We have 6 providers, two of our Cardiologist perform all the procedures for ASPVD, so when one of our other providers see someone for a Cath and then need them evaluated, they refer to their partner for consult. Now that there are no second opinion codes, does anyone know how to get paid for this consult as well? Thanks:confused:
 
if the doc have different specialties ie. cardiology and electrophysiology then you can bill for both consults/ov on the same day. No modifiers but you will most likely have to appeal stating the physcians have separate specialties. I usually attach a copy of their certification to the appeal.
