I was reading over the new guidelines and new codes for 2013. I want to be sure i am interpreting then correctly. Regarding the intervention codes, if the patient is presenting with MI, STEMI, we are to use 92941-99244? Is the STEMI what is being considered chronic??? If the physician does not dictate patients presenting staus is MI or STEMI we use 92920-92938 based on interventions used??? Just want to be sure we will be telling every correctly. TIA everyone
