Hello,

I have to take retake the exam. I had the 2016 CPT, ICD 10 and HCPC manuals for the exam and unfortunately failed the exam. Now that we are in 2017, I was advised to purchase 2017 manuals. Would I have to purchase all 3 again or just one of them? Does anyone know?

ICD-10 had a ton of changes for 2017, CPT as well. HCPCS has very few questions on the exam so you could probably survive with the old book but not ICD or CPT

"it is essential that examinees use the current calendar year's coding manuals when taking the certification exam."

Copied from the preparing for certification. Read approved material concerning your area of certification and you can view the above statement.
