How are everyone's providers planning to track their time on the day of a patient encounter to calculate which level E&M to use for 2021? We have thought about doing timers but not sure if that will work for us since there may be added time for review of other items before and after the actual visit and the provider may have to step away and come back to the patient chart for documentation. Thoughts on this and how other plan to do this are appreciated.
 
I feel like that is up to the provider to figure out. Also take into consideration that no time can be counted toward things that are separately reportable. Like X-ray interpretation time (if the global will be billed). There is a lot to consider.
