Wiki 20526 and 96372

That depends on what you are coding for. If it carpal tunnel injection only the use only the the 20526 that is an injection administration code for injections into the carpal tunnel, where the 96372 is for IM or SQ injections, so if you do have two injections being given one that is carpal tunnel and one that is IM then you should use both but you will need a modifier.

Thanks for the response! Yes this was the only code that was billed. I removed the 96372 and regenerated the claim. Is that correct?

I think you are confused regarding administration code. Vaccines have their own admin codes ( 90471-90474) that is not the same as 96372 which is a therapeutic injection and not the same as a joint injection or a nerve injection. If a drug or substance is being administered you do need an admin code it will just be a question of what is being given and for what reason and by what route and location, IM, SQ, oral, intra articular, and so on.
