per the LCD you point to - Only one trigger point injection procedure should be reported on any particular day, no matter how many sites or regions are injected. Isn't 20553 for multiple muscles? Is this maybe why this is getting denied? I've been out of interventional medicine for a while.... just a thought

I have not seen this denial. Have you checked your local MAC? I believe you have NGS Medicare like I do. I do see the same update as of 10/1/19 but I haven't had any issues with claim payments of trigger points.
