When the physicians inject the joint of left knee and bursa of left knee is there a modifier I should use or just bill with 2 units of the 20610? Thanks

My experience is that the "diagnosis" changes and I bill a "59" modifier on the 2nd injection.

Example: joint 20610 is DX 715.36 and bursal injection is for DX 726.65. Anyone else?

Bill them separately but depending on the insurance company, one may get denied.
