I don't often bill for such injections so I thought I should ask the experts.

Procedure: Ultrasound Guided Subacromial Subdeltoid Bursa Injection w/ tenotomy and Percutanious Needlain of Calcification with the Tendon

The site was cleaned with chloro perp. An ultrasound transducer was placed on the anterior shoulder . Calcification wasidentified. A 22G spinal needle was used with 1% lidocaine without epi 2cc totoal to attempt to breakdown the calcification within the tendon. a steroid injection was performed under ultrasound guidance using 40 mg of kenalog. The needle was changed prior to steroid injection as ther was a calcioum deposit winin the needle from attempted calcium breakdown. This was well tolerated adn resulted in partial relief. Dressing placed and post injection instructions ....etc

My question is regarding the calcium needling . Is there a separate CPT code that is billed for that?
