I have a doctor that is trying to bill for a pin removal in the office using 20670; however, he was the doctor that performed the closed reduction percutaneous pinning for a phalanx fracture. Wouldn't the pin removal be inclusive of the charge for the closed reduction procedure since he was the one that performed it?

Pin Removal, 20670

If the Pin Removal is done within the Global Time Frame for the initial procedure, then the Pin Removal would be included in that fee/charge. If done after/outside the Global Time Frame for the procedure, then the 20670 can be charged.
