Hello Fellow coders;

If hardware is removed from the elbow and its documented that hardware was removed from the lateral and medial condyle and posterior column can I bill 20680 x3 or only x1?

Per Ingenix, only 2 units are allowed for 20680.

I also believe that if it is all related (i.e. a plate and screw removal), it is only appropriate to bill for one.

1 20680 per fracture site no matter how many screws/plates/etc. OR if there are multiple incisions..
