Is anyone having trouble billing 22558 with modifier 62? Its like the insurance companies aren't wanting to reimburse for it they keep saying that that CPT code doesn't qualify for multiple surgeons. But per Encoder Pro it does. Is there anything that you send in with the OP Report to get it paid?

The op report documenting the co-surgeon along with the claim and appropriate modifier should be sufficient as long as the co-surgeon bill is the same and that it is actually on file with the insurance company.

Thanks so much. Its like BCBS only pays for the assist and the other surgeon they never want to reimburse our surgeon for it.
