22830 exploration of spinal fusion

Hi I was wondering if anyone is experiencing denials when billing 22830 with a fusion. According to the CCI Edits it states exploration of a spinal fusion may be reported with an arthrodesis if performed during the same operative session on the same level. If anyone can give me any information on this it would be appreciated.
