Wiki 23 hour Observation correct coding??????? HELP

I am trying to find a code that would be appropriate to bill for a 23 hour observation room. The patient would enter this are in the hopes that the 24 hour care would not be needed.

Would billing CPT 90739 then 90840 for each half hour after be appropriate for this type of care? If not can someone point me to a better CPT? I am new to behavior health any direction is appreciated.

Is this a provider office or a hospital?? I think you mean 90839 and 90840 for crisis.. You should read the rules that go,with these codes very careful.

Thank you! Yes the correct codes should have read 90839 and 90840. The service would be considered outpatient with place of service CMHC (53) fee for service. Any help or direction is appreciated!!
