Wiki 25 modifier on OV with injections

Do you have to use a 25 modifier on the office visit when any procedure is done ie: injections , breathing treatments or splints?

Hi

Yes I would use modifier 25 on eval mgmnt codes HOWEVER is it a distinct procedure? Some procedures are lessen in funding if part of treating that patient has with certain illness. As example the patient has Strep Throat, so does lab strep test be billed but not a modifier on office visit. If he does an injection always pop a modifier related to this distinct procedure. Some skin procedures/removals CPT 10060 maybe included with office visit unless distinct problem occurring. Really best to check with payer or monitor services billed

Yes, I would use modifier 25. I forgot to add it once and they bundled the office visit into a toradol injection. Oops!

So you are saying if pt comes for an OV and has a vaccine done and modifier 25 should go on the ov.
