Is this possible for reimbursement? Any suggestions? Initial post-op x-ray found movement of alignment/centering of femoral prosthetic undesirable, may have caused dislocation. Return to OR was done to redo acetabulum.
 
Someone had suggested doing two separate claims for the same day. Hmmmm. Any other ideas?

This would not be billed on separate claims. I am assuming that the same provider performed both procedures. Chances are that the patient is 65 or over, and modifier -XE would be used. Otherwise modifier -59. I would also add a note on line #19 that 27138 was performed during a separate session.
