27422 versus 27427

Hi - I am wondering how to tell the difference between these two codes. I have found different tips, such as if the incision is anteromedial, the use 27422, but if the incision is at the distal IT band, to use 27427. However, most of my providers do not distinctly say "anteromedial" or "over the IT band".

Does anyone have any tips as to coding these procedures, knowing which code to use?
