is there a 'revision' code for this(treatment of tibial fracture) procedure? the dr took out the original rod (20680) and put in a nail to replace.

thanks

no it was done by another dr (possibly in the same hospital) but the original surgery didn't take and he had to "re-do" and in doing so took out the original implant and replaced with another.

I was hoping there might be a revision CPT code but I will bill out with the original code w/o any modifers.

thanks
