Op Report reads:
The wound was deepened following the normal tissue planes of the muscle to the level of the peroneal tendons, as the brevis tendon was visualized with its insertion into the base fo the fifth metatarsal, and the os peroneus accessory ossicle was found lying proximally and medially within the tendinous fibers of the peroneus longus, whose margins were delineated with careful dissection using iris scissors and freer evevator. While being secured with Allis attachments and excised in toto from the surgical wound. Inspection of th eremaining tissue yieled normal appearing anatomy, and preservation of peroneus brevis and longus tendons.
The ossicle demensions were2.0cm x 1.25 cm and was examined and found to demonstrate a defect within the bone consistant with a nonunion fracture. Closure of the wound commenced with a deep repair of tendon and muscle.
I want to code a 28120 the excision piece of it, but I am lost with the accessory piece. Also I should code the tendon repair as well correct?
