Can someone explain the difference between 28298 and 28310. I know they have to be two separate procedures, but I cannot discern a difference when I read the descriptions.

The description I have is 28298 is a bunion correction and includes excision of medial emminence (on the metatarsal). 28310 is phalanx ostotomy only, with only work on the phalanx , that is the only difference I see in my descriptions.

Anyone else??
