Good morning all,

I am thoroughly confused about these two codes, not to mention I'm new to coding shoulder procedures.

29825 is considered a primary code.
29826 is now an add-on code.

When my Dr. bill these two codes together, the carrier's are paying the add-on code (29826) and denying the primary code (29825). How could this be? Can someone please help me in understanding this?

It is because there was an update to the codes in April you will have to get the one that already paid like that reprocessed nothing the recent changes. Going foreward these should pay correctly
