Good morning everyone!
I would like to get some feedback on getting a 2nd certification. I am currently a CPC and have been for 10+ years and I am working as an Orthopedic surgery coder and I am looking to expand my knowledge. I am unsure of what would be a wise credential to obtain that I may use currently in my scope of work and also if I were to want to use outside of my current job.

Look into the COSC since you work in an ortho office?
If you're interested in auditing, CPMA
Compliance? CPCO

Another certification is a great idea, but it should make sense to you concerning where you want to be in your next career step. If you're interested in another specialty, there are many other specialty certifications that would help move you in a different direction. Good luck!
