30801 Denial

I have received a denial from BCBSIL stating that a 30801 cannot be performed by an ARNP. Has anyone else received anything similar? I know APWU has had the same policy for awhile but this is the first I'm seeing of it from a BCBS plan. Any knowledge about other plans that may deny for a mid-level provider performing this would be awesome as well, as we do this procedure a lot in office.
Thanks!

Are you sure that's the correct code for the procedure that was done? I have a hard time imaging that this would be within the scope of practice of an APRN in any state.

Yes, 100% sure. We bill it all the time, our DO has the patent for a chemical cauterization technique that uses that code. She (our ARNP) also performs 30802 with no issues as well.
