We have a professional claim for the emergency room for cpt 30901 that is denying for modifier. The specific denial is: The procedure code is inconsistent with the modifier used. We did not bill with a modifier, should there be a modifier on this particular procedure? Thanks for your help

The modifier missing for 30901 is LT , RT or 50 for bilateral.
