Hello - doesn't active bleeding need to be present to code 31238? I have providers that are using silver nitrate on blood vessels to prevent future bleed. I saw somewhere that you can submit 31231 & 17250. Would that be appropriate? I understand that Encoder's code descriptor states "for control of hemorrhage". If there must be active bleeding, where can I find the source to support this?
