does anyone know if you can bill 36415 (venipuncture) along with an office visit to Medicare?

Yes, you can. We have quite a few Medicare patients who get bloodwork done during their appointment to see the physician and we have no problems with both services being paid by Medicare. I hope this helps!

We also have a lot of Medicare patients. Lately I am getting denials requiring more information on the Venipuncture code. Is there a modifier or something that Medicare is wanting?

I can not count the claim that code 36415 is on with other lab procedures that I process every day. The way that I see it that this code shows that multiple labs were drawn that day. They will fill 3 or 4 tubes and run several test and this is from one stick.
