What is the 4021 group? I am billing a dental screening and was using the Z1384 code and Medicaid said I need to be using a code out of the 4021 group.

Can you give us a frame of reference? How is the phrase being used? By whom? You aren't giving us enough information to answer your question.

Thanks for the clarification They are telling you they are looking for an ICD-9 and not an ICD-10 code. either the DOS is before 10/1 or your states Medicaid did not switch to ICD-10. However Z1384 is ICD-10 for dental disorder screening. 4021 is not a dental dx code so not sure why that code is mentioned unless dental has to do with cardio?
