45835 vs 45380

If the GI provider documents 2mm flat polyp found in ascending colon and a polypectomy was performed with cold snare, tissue sample place in jar would you code the 45385 or 45380?? Everything I have read states if a complete polypectomy was performed then 45385 would be coded. Which one should be used???

45380- cold or hot foreceps biopsy

I always code according to how the polyps was removed - snare vs. biopsy forceps. This information is (or should always be) included in the colonoscopy report.
