Wiki 52 modifier with excision codes

Hi,
Does anyone know, should I be adding 52 modifier on procedure 11404 if we do not close the excision. We are leaving it open to heal by secondary intent?

Is there any material in writing that shows if I should or should not add modifier 52?

No 52 needed

I would say you do NOT need a -52 modifier. The lesion excision codes include simple closure, when performed. Sometimes they just put a bandage over the incision.
