In older threads it mentioned that 0275T was listed as intralaminar and now it is listed as interlaminar. So this means that 0275T can only be used for interlaminar approach?

Can anyone explain how to tell if open approach 63030 or if procedure could be 0275T. Terms used minimally invasive (which I thought meant 0275T but apparently not; seems it can also be 63030), laminotomy, facetectomy or discectomy. How do you determine the correct code?

The AANS indicates to use 63030 for minimally invasive(e.g. using tubular retractor system). The difference is based on the visualization.

"Endoscopically assisted laminotomy (hemilaminectomy) requires open and direct visualization. When visualization is only endoscopic and/or image guidance, the procedure is percutaneous and reported using 0274T, 0275T. So be sure to document direct visualization. "

Hope this helps.
