I would appreciate any help anyone can give me. Per op note: Under loupe magnification, I removed the lamina and medial facet from c3 through C4 bilaterally. The spinous processes and lamina were removed in piecemeal fashion. The medial aspect of the facets were removed to complete the decompression of the spinal cord. Excellent posterior decompression was achieved.
My co-worker says this should be coded as 63045, 63048, but I only see 63045. I know CPT states single vertebral segment, but isn't it true that AANS states these should be counted as a motion segment?
