Hello - Encoder states 64400 & 31231 are bundled. They are two separate procedures & 31231 is not diagnostic for 64400. I don't have CPT assistant. If someone would please tell me the reasoning behind it, I would greatly appreciate.
Hello,
I got a 64400 once done on myself and the injection went into the side of my face. It wasn't in the nose or sinuses and it wasn't near the nose or sinuses and there was no scope involved. Seems like 2 completely different procedures not even closely related to one another. However, if the trigeminal nerve injections are also done intranasally, then I could understand the bundling.
Can anyone else out there comment? Interesting question.
