Hello all,

have a patient with microphthalmic eye (very short axial length)
Did verify with doc if devices or techniques used for complex. He said no the microphthalmic qualifies for complex.

I still think 66984 in this case....

Check with the insurance carrier, or the LCD for your Medicare carrier. In DC Metro area, this diagnosis is not included as justification to bill complex.
