One of our Dermatologist attended the Derm Foundation meeting and was told that we can not code a biopsy on the eyelid unless it includes the lid margin? We have always used 678.10 for a Biopsy of the eyelid even without a margin. The code states in the AMA Incisional biopsy of eyelid skin including lid margin? Please help.
 
Yes, I believe it was last year that they changed to wording of the the biopsy code for the eye. That is correct you would be now using 11100
